Mainz for Beginners - An overview of the city's history

This tour is ideal if you want to get an overview of the city history and its geography.
Typically, we will see the cathedral and the old town. A visit to the Gutenberg Museum can be included. If possible, there will be a private presentation of the printing press
We can also go and see Saint Stephan and the Schiller Square, where the carnival fountain is.

Extras

These sights in Mainz should be seen, too, but usually don't fit into the classical tour. If you wish to see them, please talk to me in advance and we can arrange it!

Gutenberg Museum

If you want to, I'll the Gutenberg Museum in the course of the tour. Here, the museum's treasure room and a private presentation of the printing press are definitively worth seeing. The entrance fee has to be paid in cash directly at the museum.

Saint Stephan

Do you know the famous artist Chagall? If not, this must be changed. Seeing the beautiful windows he installed here in the 70ies should be done either during the tour (with explanations) or afterwards (without them). You are not going to be disappointed.
